I came to Ayurveda unexpectedly.
I was on sabbatical from an intense corporate career, trying to repair years of stress and neglect. My body had been sending me signals for a long time: inflammation, digestive issues, autoimmune flares, insomnia, the familiar constellation of symptoms that so often appears when a high-functioning life is running on fumes.
On the suggestion of a trusted friend, I consulted an Ayurvedic doctor. As she explained the framework to me, something landed. Ayurveda, translated as "the science of life," did not feel ancient or abstract. It felt startlingly practical. Less like an "alternative" health philosophy and more like an indispensable manual for living in harmony with the body.
I have always been drawn to a holistic and functional approach to health, one that looks beyond symptoms to the root cause of the problem. That instinct had been validated years earlier with a back injury. Modern medicine offered me painkillers and physical therapy. Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosed the larger disruption in my body that was creating the tension in the first place.
Why are we taught to perform, produce, and push through, but not to listen to the body before it has to shout? Why are so many intelligent, capable people managing symptoms for years while ignoring the deeper patterns underneath? What draws me to Ayurveda is its emphasis on self-awareness. It asks us to pay attention to digestion, sleep, energy, mood, cravings, inflammation, elimination, stress, all the subtle ways the body speaks before something becomes a crisis.
In Ayurveda, imbalance is understood as a progression. What begins as discomfort can, if ignored, become a more entrenched pattern. Over time, the body's signals grow louder, moving from minor disruption into more complex dysfunction. The earlier we listen, the more options we usually have. That is the heart of my work.
Over the years, I have worked with clients navigating health concerns, burnout, career transitions, emotional upheaval, and major life changes. I help them understand their own constitution, patterns, habits, stress responses, and symptoms through an Ayurvedic lens. My focus is to translate ancient principles into practical, modern guidance that fits real life.
Our bodies have extraordinary intelligence. They are constantly adapting, compensating, protecting, and trying to return to balance. My role is to help you hear and translate what your body has been saying all along, and to make the changes that support its natural capacity to restore.
Ayurveda gave me a way back to myself.
Now I use it to help others find their way back to their own Inner Pharmacy.
If any of this sounds like your own body talking,
I'd like to hear about it.
No obligation. Just a conversation.
